Brightlight Theatre is an award-winning theatre company based in Frimley on the Surrey and Hampshire border. We create ambitious productions that challenge, entertain and surprise audiences, combining high production standards with the energy and creativity of community theatre.

In recent years, our work has been recognised at some of the UK’s leading drama festivals, earning awards for acting, directing, stage presentation and new writing, as well as consecutive invitations to perform at the National Drama Festival. From original plays to inventive reinterpretations of established work, we believe theatre should be exciting, thought-provoking and unforgettable - and we’ve got a national reputation for it.

But Brightlight is about more than the shows we produce.

Our members come from all walks of life and levels of experience. Some join us to perform. Others direct, write, design, build, operate, organise and support our productions. What unites us is a shared belief that remarkable theatre is created by people working together with imagination and commitment. And theatre brings moments of magic to our community.

We stage three main productions each year at St Peter’s Church Hall in Frimley, alongside festival work, workshops, new writing projects and opportunities to develop skills both on and off stage. Whether you’re taking your first steps into theatre or looking for your next creative challenge, you’ll find a company that is ambitious, welcoming and always moving forward.

A percentage of every ticket sold is donated to KatCanDo, supporting local cancer patients and their families.
